Alsager Round Table are pleased to announce that they are now exploring ways to light up the town this Christmas. Having raised a substantial amount of the money required over the summer they are now in a position to push ahead with designing and installing the illuminations, hopefully for this December.
As a final push to get to the magic total needed, a "Buy a Bulb" campaign has been launched. Collectoin pots have been placed around the town in various shops and businesses. Anyone who would like to sponsor this project and donate towards the costs can go in and make a donation at any time.
Pots are situated in shops showing the "Buy a Bulb" poster. These include The Post Office, Fryers' Newsagents, Mac's Barbers, Close Lane Corner Shop, Shady Grove Stores, Cavandish News, Lyon Properties, Peppermint Park Hairdressers, The Mere Inn and the Lodge. All money collected will go straight towards purchasing lights and will be added to money raised from the charity auction held last month, donations from businesses, £1,000 donated by the town council and a donation from Alsager Carnvial Committee.
