The theme and date for next year's Alsager Carnival will be a Circus Carnvival on Saturday 21st June.
CLOWNS WANTED
Alsager carnival is looking for clowns. The parade this year has a circus theme and anyone wishing to dress as a clown is in with a chance of winning the much coverted award for best fancy dress. The parade this year will be lead by Lions Youth Brass, and it is hope that there will be more musicians walking the route than ever before. Awards are given for best float, best adult fancy dress and best child's fancy dress. On the carnival field there will be a selection of professional circus performers offering advice on how to acquire performing skills and some demonstrations of their acts in the main arena. There will be all the usual attractions, including refreshments, activities, stalls competitions for children's racing, the dog show and the third world oatcake throwing championships. Anyone wishing to have a charity stall on the day, or a float in the parade can contact Richard Sutton on 01270 874206.
