Oakhanger Hall

Theme Tour: Footpaths

This path starts at the hairpin bend at the end of Close Lane.

9 Jan 99

It leads to a bridge over the M6 motorway.
This is the view looking north.

Two more views looking west (left)
and east (right) from the motorway bridge.

In damp weather the fields around the farm can be muddy.

The path crosses a small stream and meets a track. Crossing the track leads to Moss Cottage and Haslington Hall

Turning left onto the track leads to Oakhanger Hall. The track eventually turns right to the farmhouse. The path veers off left around the farm buildings.

Eventually the trees in the left hand photo come into view. Behind the trees is the end of the main Hall driveway from where a beautiful pool can be seen.

At the entrance to the driveway a left turn leads to the Oakhanger Moss footpath.
Rabbits can be seen here and there is a notice warning about adders. This path ends ends at the driveway to Oakhanger Aquatics where tropical fish can be seen.
